Will you be wearing one dress or two for your wedding day? Many brides are choosing to wear a separate dress for their reception.
Wearing a second dress for the reception can be a good idea if you are planning a formal ceremony but a more relaxed reception. It can allow you the princess style you want for photos, but mean you don’t need to worry about damaging it while you party through the night.
Of course, having a second dress is not without problems. For one, you need to find a time and place to change, and might feel you need to redo your hair and makeup to suit it. This is time you aren’t spending with your guests.
You might also want to avoid the extra costs, or want to spend as much time as possible in the perfect wedding dress you have found for your big day. Wearing two dresses will add to your dress budget, and the amount of time it will take to find your perfect dresses.
Whether you choose one dress or two, you’ll need to shop at a great Salt Lake City bridal salon. To see what we can offer you for your wedding, give us a call today!

It’s not uncommon for a bride to say she wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day. While you might not be royalty, there’s nothing to stop you from having a fairytale-inspired wedding to make you feel like it.
Ball gowns are the obvious choice for a fairytale wedding. Full skirts and beautiful bodices are ideal if you want a Cinderella style for your big day. Crystal and beaded accents are perfect additions to this style.
If you want something more understated, consider the fit and flare mermaid silhouette. This is perfect for a Little Mermaid-inspired wedding style. It is also perfect for a formal wedding, but can also work well for a more relaxed wedding day.
Whatever style of wedding dress you’re considering, when you’ve chosen the right style for you, you’ll be sure to feel like a fairytale princess. To finish off your princess style, why not consider a fabulous tiara for an accessory?

Most Salt Lake City brides will want to follow the old rhyme and wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Instead of finding four separate items, you can condense these into two. Asking a family member such as you mom for something old to borrow can be a great start, and there are plenty of beautiful bridal accessories that can be your something new and your something blue.
If you’ve chosen blue as one of your wedding colors, this can be as simple as adding a sash to your wedding dress. Whether matching your bridesmaids or going a bit lighter or darker, it can add a beautiful splash of color to your bridal style.
If a blue sash is too dramatic, or doesn’t suit your wedding dress style, blue accessories are a great choice. This can include adding a bit of color with a new pair of blue bridal shoes, or the classic addition of blue accented jewelry.
Whatever you choose for your addition of something new and something blue, you’ll want to buy them from an excellent Salt Lake City bridal shop. To find out more or make an appointment, get in touch with us today!
We love this trend! Off-the-shoulder wedding gowns are huge for 2013, and we think they’ll stay popular for 2014, too. It’s no surprise, though, as the style is perfect for many different types of weddings and brides.
If you’re planning a vintage wedding, you can instantly call to mind the likes of Marilyn Monroe and Grace Kelly with an off-the-shoulder gown. With a full skirt and a straight off-the-shoulder strap, you’ll instantly have that great 1950s glamour style that is just right for a vintage wedding.
It can also be a great way to show off a bit of skin without feeling overexposed. The off-the-shoulder styles can give you a more supported feeling than a traditional strapless style, but still give you a great neckline that shows off your shoulders.

Rustic weddings area big trend. With a casual feel and touch of vintage charm, they are a perfect choice for many Utah couples. If you’re planning a rustic wedding, you’ll want to find the right dress for the occasion.
Of course, the main thing to think about is the formality. If you’re going for rustic glam, you can afford to be a bit more formal, but in general a rustic wedding calls for a more casual dress style. Look for something flowing, without too stiff of a structure.
You’ll also want to consider the look of the dress, and whether it will fit with your theme. Off-white shades, including ivory and champagne, are great for rustic weddings. Pure white does tend to be too stark for this theme. Another great choice is lace, which will fit perfectly in almost every rustic style.

Anti-bullying activist Lauren Parsekian married Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul last Sunday in a Paris masquerade themed wedding in Malibu. The couple looked absolutely gorgeous in their traditional wedding attire choices.
Aaron wore a Burberry tuxedo and custom designed bow tie, while Lauren stood out in her Kenneth Pool ballgown. The white wedding dress suited her perfectly, and gave their wedding photos a real fairytale wedding feel.
The dress itself is a lace and tulle gown that pairs a strapless, corset-style bodice with a full skirt. It’s feminine style is accented by floral designs and a flattering asymmetrical waistline. Lauren went slightly less traditional with her shoes, though, choosing to wear a pair of white boots with the gown!
We love that a celebrity couple have chosen such a traditional look for their big day. It shows that some styles really are timeless, and that they are a perfect choice for a beautiful wedding.
